A new look and logo
In October 2023, we launched a new logo and brand identity for the Grief Centre.
Read on to learn more about the story behind the logo.
The yellow icon embodies the belief that, while grief can be difficult and overwhelming, we can be hopeful and move forward with it as part of our lives. It speaks to the hope and warmth of a sunny day dawning, a bright spring flower, and new beginnings. It is open and welcoming to all, representing our values of he ngākau manaaki and he ngākau whakaute. It also symbolises connection and care, he ngākau aroha.
The internal koru design wraps around our foundations of diversity, equity and inclusion while denoting the growth often experienced by those living through loss and grief.
The petals or sunshine rays stand together united in support, for the grieving and for those who work with grief. They also represent our value of collaboration, whanaungatanga.
